working for our Sportsbook domain, you are able to take defined designs and turn them into secure, stable, testable, maintainable code with minimal defects.

You will be working Fan Duel Sportsbook application, providing our customers with a best-in-class experience. You’ll play a pivotal part in making our platform highly usable and will write clear, scalable, and high-quality code. You will work continuously to improve architecture and processes to improve quality and efficiency. In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

You make appropriate trade-offs, re-use where possible, and are judicious about introducing dependencies. You are efficient with resource usage (e.g., system hardware, database, memory/CPU, etc).

What we're looking for in our next teammate

Required

· Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

· 5+ years of software development experience, including building and maintaining mobile applications using React and React Native.

· Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and core web technologies (HTML and CSS).

· Experience with native mobile development on iOS and/or Android (e.g. Swift or Kotlin).

· Experience contributing to frontend architecture decisions or shared component libraries.

· Familiarity with OpenAPI or similar approaches to API documentation.

· Deep experience delivering high-quality user interfaces with strong attention to performance, accessibility, and responsive design.

· Experience designing and working with Node.js services, ideally using a backend-for-frontend (BFF) pattern.

· Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms, and how they apply to real-world systems.

· Proven ability to translate ambiguous requirements into well-designed, maintainable, and testable solutions.

· Extensive experience with modern development workflows including Git/GitHub, pull requests, and code reviews.

· Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Jenkins or Build Kite.

· Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure, preferably AWS, including API Gateway and serverless patterns (e.g. Lambda).

· Experience working with SQL databases and data-driven applications.

· Familiarity with container-based development (e.g. Docker) and a working understanding of container orchestration concepts (e.g. Kubernetes).

· Demonstrated ability to raise engineering standards, drive operational excellence, and influence best practices across a team.

The applicable salary range for this position is $138,000 - $181,650 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. Fan Duel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
