Your expertise will help advance Fact Set’s data maturity and ensure our data assets are consistently well-managed, accessible, and reliable.

What You'll Do

  • Data Governance Leadership: Set the vision, define, implement, and continuously scale data governance strategy, standards, and processes. Ensure that high-quality, discoverable, and compliant data is delivered consistently to users and internal stakeholders.
  • Alignment & Accountability: Drive organizational accountability by establishing clear and shared goals for all key data governance roles across multiple business units and stakeholder groups. Hold senior data owners and stewards accountable for outcomes through structured review sessions, transparent progress tracking, and regular reporting to enterprise leadership.

Ensure comprehensive creation, maintenance, and accessibility of metadata across critical datasets. Represent Fact Set’s metadata standards in industry forums and drive continuous improvement in metadata management.
  • Data Stewardship Program Oversight: Build and oversee a data stewardship program by appointing, mentoring, and enabling business and technical data stewards. Lead the stewardship community in managing data definitions, driving resolution of data quality challenges, and promoting deep ownership of key data assets across Fact Set.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Lead alignment on data governance priorities, working in close partnership with Product Management, Engineering, and other departments. Chair or participate actively in the Data Governance Steering Committee, influencing directors, executive stakeholders, and business owners to drive adoption and success.
  • Strategic Communication & Representation: Provide regular, impactful updates on data governance initiatives, program effectiveness, and data maturity goals to executive leadership. Serve as Fact Set’s data governance representative at external industry events and in client engagements.
  • Coaching & Enablement: Mentor, train and empower an organization focused on governance, stewardship, and metadata best practices. Evangelize data maturity for Data Solutions across the department
  • Continuous Innovation: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and experimentation in governance practices, technologies, and frameworks. Lead the development and validation of business cases for governance initiatives. Assess impact, iterate on strategy, and catalyze the adoption of solutions that maximize value.
  • Client, Market & Thought Leadership: Engage regularly with clients, industry partners, and the external data governance community to ensure programs remain best-in-class and to advocate for the business value of data governance in the marketplace.
