F5 is seeking a highly skilled and innovative AI/ML Engineer to join our Employee Experience (EX) team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of transforming our digital workplace by designing, developing, and deploying intelligent solutions. You will focus on building AI Agents, implementing Large Language Model (LLM) integrations, and creating automation workflows that streamline business processes for our People, Finance, and Legal functions. This role is instrumental in moving our employee experience from traditional support to a proactive, AI-driven ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • AI Solution Development: Design and build end-to-end AI/ML solutions, with a heavy focus on Generative AI, LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini), and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures to support employee productivity.
  • AI Agent Architecting: Develop and deploy autonomous and semi-autonomous AI Agents to automate complex cross-functional workflows across platforms like Service Now, Workday, and Salesforce.
  • Model Integration & Engineering: Integrate AI capabilities into existing business systems using APIs and orchestration frameworks (e.g., Lang Chain, Llama Index). Optimize model performance and cost-efficiency for enterprise-scale deployment.
  • Data Engineering for AI: Collaborate with data teams to design and implement data pipelines, vector databases, and fine-tuning datasets to improve the accuracy and relevance of EX-specific AI models.
  • Engineering Excellence: Champion best practices for AI development, including prompt engineering, model evaluation, monitoring for "hallucinations" or bias, and maintaining the security and privacy of employee data.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers, Business Systems Analysts, and UX designers to identify high-impact AI use cases and translate them into technical prototypes and production-ready features.
  • Innovation & Research: Stay current with the rapidly evolving AI/ML landscape, evaluating new tools, frameworks, and research to keep F5’s Employee Experience at the cutting edge of technology.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least2+ years focused on AI/ML development.
  • Proven expertise in building applications powered by **Large Language Models (LLMs)**and implementing RAG patterns.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., Py Torch, Tensor Flow, Scikit-learn) and orchestration libraries (e.g.,Lang Chain, Haystack).
  • Experience with Vector Databases (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus, Weaviate) and managing structured/unstructured data for AI applications.
  • Hands-on experience deploying AI solutions in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and utilizing MLOps practices for model monitoring and versioning.
  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as Service Now, Workday, or Salesforce and their native AI/ML capabilities is a significant plus.
  • Solid understanding of API design (RESTful services) and integrating AI into complex, multi-system enterprise architectures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate the ambiguity of emerging technologies.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
