About the role

Core Business Services – Finance – Senior Accounting Officer Responsibilities:

- Experience in full set of books and analysis.

- Prepare monthly journals.

- Review and validate journal entries prepared by other teams for accuracy and compliance with accounting standard.

- Ensure timely posting of journals and assist in maintain the integrity of financial record.

- Participate in finance operations and month end / year end close processes.

- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations review to ensure accounts are accurately reflected.

- Identify discrepancies in balance sheet reconciliations and work with relevant teams to resolve issues.

- Investigate anomalies and monthly variance against budget and provide analysis of differences

- Assist in preparation and analysis of monthly financial and management accounting, annual budgeting and quarterly forecast

- Provide regular support and insightful performance analysis to facilitate better understanding of business performance

- Pro-active communication with internal customers

- Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions as needed

- Participate in ad hoc projects and assignments

To qualify, you must meet the following requirements:

- Bachelor's degree with an internationally recognized professional qualification.

- Minimum 5 years solid and relevant experience from a sizeable company

- Organized, detail-oriented and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.

- Highly motivated team player with positive attitude

- Analytical and proactive in problem solving.

- Proficiency in MS WORD, EXCEL, Chinese word processing

- Good command in both written and spoken English & Chinese (Mandarin)

- Supervising a team experience is an advantage

- Hands-on experience in Oracle information system is a definite advantage.
