Location: Wrocław / Katowice - 2 days office / 3 days remote

The opportunity

As s a Java Developer, you will support various streams of Insurance platform implementation projects. You will collaborate with agile team members to help achieve project and client goals while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic environment. This role offers the chance to work with modern technology stacks and contribute to innovative solutions in the insurance sector.

Your key responsibilities

Work as a Java Developer to contribute in various streams of implementation in Insurance projects:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of Java applications for Insurance projects.

  • Collaborate with team members to support project objectives.

  • Help analyze requirements and contribute to the design process.

  • Participate in coding, testing, debugging, and documenting software applications.

  • Learn from and support senior team members in technical tasks.

  • Java Consulting implementation projects with a focus on developing new solutions and expanding system functionalities within the scope of R&D activities.

  • Cooperating with R&D teams to identify and implement best practices and new Java technologies/solutions that may enhance the efficiency of business processes.

  • Reporting the progress of R&D projects and documenting the results of implementations, as well as post-implementation review.

  • Designing, testing, and implementing new Java solutions/modules – conducting workshops, pilots, proof-of-concept initiatives, and deploying new or improved system features.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Knowledge of Java programming.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus.

  • Understanding of Kafka or other message brokers is beneficial.

  • Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.

  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Science, other Technical qualification

  • 1+ years in a corporate IT environment in a similar positions

  • Understanding of Java and related frameworks.

  • Strong communication skills

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Exposure to microservices architecture.

  • Interest in the Insurance or Banking sector.

  • Familiarity with Insurance core platforms is a plus.

  • Relevant coursework or certifications in Java, Spring, SQL, AWS, or Azure.

  • Experience with agile/scrum methodologies is advantageous.
