Client Service Executive/Assistant Manager (Contract) – Audit of the Future.Now Transition Support Contract period: 1 April 2026 – 30 November 2026 Location: South Africa Experience required: Prior EY experience (mandatory) Qualification: CA(SA) not required 1. Role Purpose As part of the Audit of the Future.Now programme, this Client Service Executive/Assistant Manager role forms part of a central PMO‑driven transition support team responsible for preparing audit engagements for the Canvas Release 1 enablement. The role plays a critical part in supporting audit teams through structured project management, methodology alignment, workflow transition, and engagement readiness activities. You will help ensure audit teams are fully prepared for the rollout of new digital workflows, standardisation methods, and quality‑enhancing processes that underpin EY’s commitment to high‑quality audits across the Africa region. 2. Key Responsibilities A. Transition Support for Canvas Release 1 Lead and coordinate tasks associated with rolling forward Canvas engagements to the new enablement platform. Assess Canvas readiness for allocated portfolios, ensuring that transition prerequisites and data requirements are accurately met. Support audit teams in ensuring engagement profiles are complete, accurate. B. Methodology Standardisation Activities Implement Standard Indexing across assigned engagements to ensure consistency and compliance with updated workflows. Reconcile risks and WCGWs to the new Standard ROMMs , ensuring all linkages and implications are correctly considered. Convert systems narratives to flowcharts in the Canvas workflow, including aligning relevant controls to the appropriate ROMMs. C. Audit Planning Support Assist teams with assessing the Audit Plan for adequacy , completeness, and appropriateness. Support alignment to EY GAM and updated policies. D. PMO Project Management & Reporting Track, monitor, and report progress for allocated audit teams against PMO‑defined milestones and Canvas transition deadlines. Identify bottlenecks, risks, and potential transition issues early; escalate appropriately. Support the PMO with stakeholder management, engagement tracking, and communication routines. 3. Required Experience & Skills A. Experience Prior experience at EY is mandatory due to the institutional knowledge required and the nature of Canvas enablement. Experience in audit, quality enablement and audit transformation initiatives within EY. Familiarity with Canvas , GAM , audit workflows, and risk assessment methodologies. B. Technical Skills Strong understanding of audit processes and digital audit platforms. Ability to interpret and apply updated methodology components (risk assessment, controls, narratives, ROMMs). Proficiency in MS Office and EY digital tools (Canvas, project trackers, visualisation or workflow tools). C. Project & Change Management Skills Ability to operate within a PMO environment. Strong organisational, coordination and documentation skills. Ability to manage multiple engagements and stakeholders concurrently. D. Soft Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively with teams, manage ambiguity and adapt to changing requirements. Analytical mindset, proactive problem‑solving, and strong attention to detail. 4. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will have: Experience working in EY audit or audit‑related functions. Strong appreciation of audit quality requirements and digital audit transformation. A structured, methodical approach with the ability to guide teams through change. The confidence to operate across multiple teams, levels and portfolios. A commitment to high‑quality delivery, aligned with EY’s Audit of the Future.Now strategy.
