Currently, we are looking for an energetic, willing to work in a dynamic and full of diverse and interesting legal matters environment, Junior in-house legal advisor to join our local internal legal team which is part of the regional legal team.

The Role in general:

• Delivers consistent and high-quality legal advice to the country practice

• Has responsibility for the EY country firms’ compliance with local laws and regulations, including compliance and legal matters in the area of anti-money laundering

• Provides high-quality, commercially-in-formed legal advice to the practice

• Takes on the role as a trusted business advisor through their prudence and exercise of sound judgment

• Engages and supervises the performance of external legal firms on internal legal matters

• Deploys and supports best practices sharing within the General Counsel Office

• Guardian of the EY Brand and Code of Conduct

• Assist and support on daily basis the Country General Counsel.

What we expect from you is:

• 1-3 years relevant experience in a law firm or as an in-house legal counsel in a multinational firm (or any combination of the two)

• Experience in different areas of law, especially in commercial and employment law, contractual law, money-laundering legal matters

• Strong oral and written communication skills in Bulgarian and English

• Self-starter who pro-actively deals with matters before they become problems

• Ability to work both independently with limited guidance, and in a team

• Strong identifier and evaluator of risk and red flags

• Willing to perform both low-end and high-end work that is an inseparable part of the job

• Ability to deliver work and to advise in short term.
