Your key responsibilities
Technical Excellence

Requirement:
-
Migration of enterprise telephony services from 8x8 to Microsoft Teams
-
Porting of approximately 200 existing phone numbers
-
Configuration of Microsoft Teams Phone for end users
-
Design and implementation of Auto Attendants, IVR, and Call Queues
-
Enablement of SMS functionality through Microsoft Teams Calling Plans
-
Planning and support for third-party fax solution integration
-
Phased migration and controlled cutover to minimize business impact Phone Number Porting
-
Coordinate and manage the porting of phone numbers from 8x8 to Microsoft Teams.
-
Support porting of both: o User Direct Inward Dial (DID) numbers o Service numbers used for Auto Attendants and IVR
-
Define a phased porting schedule to limit operational disruption.
-
Communicate porting timelines and expected impact to client stakeholders.
-
Assign phone numbers to users and services once numbers are available in the Microsoft Teams tenant. Microsoft Teams Voice Configuration (Pre-Port)
-
Review existing 8x8 telephony configurations, including call routing and IVR flows.
-
Recreate equivalent or improved configurations within Microsoft Teams.
-
Configure the following in Microsoft Teams: o Auto Attendants o Interactive Voice Response (IVR) menus o Call Queues and Ring Groups
-
Utilize temporary Microsoft-assigned phone numbers to build and validate call flows prior to live number cutover.
IVR and Auto Attendant Design and Testing:
-
Design IVR scripts compatible with Microsoft Teams voice behaviour and standards.
-
Configure greetings, menu options, routing logic, and business/after-hours rules.
-
Adjust voice prompts, pacing, punctuation, and menu structure to ensure clarity and usability.
-
Facilitate iterative testing, during which client stakeholders will validate: o IVR message clarity and tone o Menu navigation accuracy o Call routing behavior User Enablement

Enable Microsoft Teams Phone for end users.
-
Assign appropriate licenses and phone numbers post-porting.
-
Configure voicemail and basic calling features for users.
-
Execute user migrations in controlled batches to reduce risk and impact. SMS Enablement
-
Provide guidance on Microsoft Teams Calling Plans that support SMS.
-
Configure one-to-one SMS functionality for licensed users in Microsoft Teams.
-
Clarify supported and unsupported SMS use cases, including known limitations around bulk or group messaging.
-
Coordinate with licensing stakeholders to ensure correct license assignment.
Fax Solution Integration:
-
Confirm business requirements for fax functionality.
-
Identify and recommend a third-party fax solution compatible with Microsoft Teams or the Microsoft ecosystem.
-
Support planning and integration activities based on the selected fax vendor.
Migration and Cutover Strategy:
-
Develop a phased migration and cutover plan.
-
Ensure Auto Attendants, IVR, and call routing are fully configured and tested prior to porting production numbers.
-
Perform cutover activities in batches to reduce organizational risk.
-
Target minimal or no downtime during migration events.
Skills and attributes

Qualification
- Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science
Experience
- IT Infrastructure Management (5+ years)
