Your key responsibilities To provide same time zone tax advice on US tax matters to Singapore clients or clients in the APAC/ASEAN region. You will manage tax due diligence projects and provide tax input to legal documents amongst others in relation to M&A projects, restructuring, and the set-up of new activities. You are also expected to build relationships with clients to further develop commercial opportunities through business meetings and tax technical updates and trainings. In addition, you will provide tax technical updates and trainings to the local team. Skills and attributes for success US federal income tax technical background with emphasis on Subchapter C and international tax provisions Responsiveness, drive, tenacity, client-focused and results oriented Positive work attitude, team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to network both internally and externally A good understanding of business issues, and the ability to transform these into value-added solutions for clients Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions Good project management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills To qualify for the role, you must have; A degree in Tax Law or Tax Economics or Equivalent At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a professional services/consulting/accounting firm including experience with US taxation Experience in coordinating with overseas offices in relation to multi-jurisdictional (tax) advisory projects Experience in building client relationships with strong focus in the region What we look for Highly motivated individuals with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize shifting workloads in a rapidly changing industry.
