The Opportunity

You will play a key role in defining and reviewing how Real Estate Fund advisors meet regulatory, tax, and financial statement reporting requirements, using our new, proprietary EY-developed technology platform. EY’s Accounting and Administration platform brings investment risk, transactional, and holdings data into a single platform for workflow management, transparency, and accountability. Top tier fund managers are using the EY platform to drive reporting efficiency and streamline their fund and investment accounting and financial reporting processes. Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Yardi Manager to join our Real Estate platform. This role will be responsible for managing client deliverables, overseeing daily fund administration activities, and serving as a subject matter expert for Yardi within a Real Estate Fund and Investment environment. The ideal candidate will combine strong Yardi system expertise with accounting knowledge and proven leadership capabilities.

Your key responsibilities:

System Administration & Client Delivery

• Oversee end-to-end Yardi system administration for Real Estate Funds and Investments, including core, value-add, and opportunistic strategies and multiple property types

• Support timely and accurate delivery of reporting packages, NAVs, capital account statements, investor reporting, and financial statements

• Support processing of complex transactions including investment acquisitions, dispositions, leasing income, capital expenditures, and fee calculations

• Participate in activities needed to record data related to investment and fund events, including acquisitions/ disposals, fund launches, liquidations, and restructuring

Yardi System Ownership

• Serve as a Yardi subject matter expert for Real Estate products

• Oversee property and fund-level data management, lease administration, cash activity, valuations, income recognition, and period-end close processes in Yardi

• Partner with internal technology and data teams on system enhancements, upgrades, and new fund and investment onboardings

• Troubleshoot and resolve Yardi-related issues, ensuring data integrity and proper accounting treatment

Team Leadership & Oversight

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Yardi subject matter experts

• Review the work of other team members with diverse backgrounds to ensure accuracy and completion according to policies and procedures

• Support staffing, workflow management, and performance evaluations

Process Improvement & Controls

• Drive operational efficiencies and process standardization across Real Estate clients

• Ensure compliance with internal policies, client agreements, and regulatory requirements

• Support internal and external audits, including preparation of supporting schedules and responses to inquiries

• Bring strong attention to detail, problem solving and critical thinking to ensure work is complete and accurate and escalate issues to leadership when appropriate

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Deep technical accounting knowledge for Real Estate funds, investments and transactions

• Advanced Yardi reporting and configuration expertise, demonstrating the ability to leverage Yardi’s capabilities effectively within EY’s operational framework

• Solid understanding of Real Estate fund and investment operations and the broader asset management industry

• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills. Has the ability to develop relationships with team members across multiple geographic locations and time zones

• Highly detail-oriented, with a keen eye for precision, ensuring that all aspects of data management and reporting are meticulously addressed

• Client-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities. Can deliver client requirements in a regulatory driven environment, process improvements, and understand operationally complex fund accounting principles

• Demonstrates advanced proficiency in Excel

• An understanding of administrative processes and ability to execute detailed procedures based on written policies and procedures

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• A solid understanding of the Yardi Accounting Platform including direct experience working within Yardi for Real Estate funds and investments

• At least 6 years of work experience in fund accounting operations for Real Estate funds and investments

• Working knowledge of common and complex alternative fund structures and related understanding of how fund and investment setups impact accounting operations

• A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related discipline

• Analytical skills, especially those related to fund accounting and asset management

• Strong proven communication skills demonstrated through effective writing and presentations to clients and internal stakeholders

• Effective leadership, project management, and organizational skills

• An understanding of financial products and services, including those related to depository institutions, asset management, securities, financial technology, Real Estate

• An interest in working in an environment which encourages continuous learning, development and identification of opportunities for improvement of individual and team performance

• A willingness to travel on an exception basis for client needs

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience with software tools including document management systems, workflow systems, or other accounting software (e.g. Investran)

• Experience in fund and investment financial reporting

• We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $83,000 to $189,600. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $99,600 to $215,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.

• Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
