Manager – FDIEY – GDS – Consulting – Finance
As a Manager in our EY Finance Consulting Team, you will lead client engagements focused on leveraging finance data intelligence and finance data lake solutions to drive strategic performance improvements. You will manage techno-functional assessments of finance data processes, lead analysis of data challenges, and design innovative, data-driven finance solutions. Your role will involve collaborating with senior client stakeholders across industries and geographies to unlock actionable insights from finance data and enable data-driven decision-making.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Manager with deep expertise in finance data intelligence, finance data lakes, and finance process optimization. Candidates should have strong knowledge of corporate finance processes, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), and finance data analytics. Experience in FP&A, Financial Accounting, and Reporting domains is highly desirable. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and grow EY’s global finance data intelligence service offering.
Your Key Responsibilities

Lead finance function engagements covering Record to Report (R2R), Procure to Pay (P2P), and Order to Cash (O2C) processes, focusing on finance data flows, reconciliations, journals, transaction matching, variance analysis, intercompany transactions, and fixed assets accounting.

Drive workshops and stakeholder interviews to perform comprehensive current state (As-Is) finance data process assessments and design optimized future state processes leveraging finance data lakes and advanced analytics.

Identify and prioritize finance data process improvement opportunities through automation, data integration, technology upgrades, and finance data transformation initiatives.

Oversee the implementation and development of finance data lakes, data pipelines, and governance frameworks.

Design and implement KPIs, dashboards, and control frameworks for finance data monitoring and reporting across O2C, P2P, and R2R processes.

Translate complex business requirements into technical data models and solutions, ensuring alignment with client objectives.

Lead data profiling, data quality assessments, and validation activities using SQL, Excel, and analytics tools.

Ensure comprehensive documentation of finance data processes, data models, and project deliverables.

Collaborate with project managers, cross-functional teams, and senior client stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Apply strong accounting expertise to interpret financial reports and statements in the context of data analytics and governance.

Provide guidance on financial consolidation, cost allocation, finance planning, and budgeting processes as they relate to data integration.

Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities with a focus on data accuracy and reconciliation.

Possess in-depth technical knowledge of ERP systems (SAP ERP/HANA, Oracle GL) and finance data structures.

Lead Chart of Accounts (CoA) design and finance data architecture initiatives.

Manage and mentor junior consultants and analysts on finance data intelligence projects.

Effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

ML and Agentic in Finance:
To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

CA, CFA, CPA, MBA, or Master’s degree in Finance or related field.

5-8 years of relevant experience in finance data intelligence, finance analytics, or finance domain.

Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have

Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), financial consolidation tools (HFM), and finance data lake platforms.

Experience leading finance transformation, ERP implementation, and data governance initiatives.

Project management certification or experience.

Strong stakeholder management and client engagement skills.
