Java / BPM Developer
Location: Wrocław - 2 days office / 3 days remote

The opportunity
Join EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) Poland and become part of a team that builds scalable, cloud‑native solutions. In this role, you will design and implement applications that address real business needs and directly contribute to EY’s purpose of Building a better working world. You’ll work with modern architectures, collaborate closely with skilled engineers, and influence key technical decisions in a global environment.
Your key responsibilities

Designing and developing advanced, scalable backend solutions in Java that meet high standards of reliability and performance.

Ensuring high code quality through participation in code reviews and continuous knowledge sharing with the team.

Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, improving application performance, and optimizing system behavior.

Contributing to architectural decisions and co‑creating the technical landscape of the platform.

Supporting less experienced team members and fostering team growth.
-
Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date technical and project documentation.

To qualify for the role, you must have
-
Commercial experience in Java development and practical knowledge of the Java ecosystem: Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST API, Microservices, Web Services, Maven.

Hands‑on experience with BPMN 2.0 and tools such as Flowable, Camunda, Activiti, or jBPM.
-
Familiarity with message queues (Kafka, Pub Sub).

Experience working with SQL and Git.
-
Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Ideally, you’ll also have
-
Experience with multithreading, distributed systems, and application monitoring (e.g., ELK stack).

Knowledge of cloud platforms — ideally GCP, but AWS or Azure are also valuable.

Basic understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
