SAP Production and Revenue Accounting (PRA)

A professional to manage and optimize SAP Production and Revenue Accounting (PRA) processes, ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue and compliance with financial regulations. This role bridges financial accounting (FI) with the specialized requirements of the oil and gas industry, involving system configuration, testing, support, and user training. in PRA should have end to end knowledge of Production, Contractual Allocation , Valuation, Payment processing and Royalty and Tax reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into effective SAP FI and PRA solutions.

  • Configure, customize, and implement the SAP PRA module for production and revenue accounting, including royalty calculations.

  • Manage and support core financial accounting processes (FI) such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and Asset Accounting (AA).

  • Develop and maintain settlement statements, tax master data, and other critical PRA and FI objects.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., CO, MM, SD, JVA) to ensure integrated solutions.

  • Perform system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.

  • Provide end-user training and documentation on SAP FI and PRA functionalities.

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities and provide ongoing support.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SAP FI and PRA implementations and support.

  • Strong understanding of oil and gas production and revenue accounting processes.

  • Solid knowledge of financial and accounting principles, including FI sub-modules (AP, AR, GL, AA).

  • Experience with SAP configuration and customizations.

  • Familiarity with the integration of FI/PRA with other modules like CO, MM, and JVA.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or as part of a team
