Join us to work on challenging, multi-country projects in a supportive, dynamic environment where your impact truly matters.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a dynamic, high-performing Manager with deep technical expertise in employment tax to join our Financial Services Employment Tax team. If you have a client-focused mindset and a passion for developing others, this is your chance to make an impact.

In this role, you’ll go beyond compliance—working on diverse and challenging engagements, from complex advisory projects to shaping broader people strategies. As a manager, you’ll lead delivery, build trusted client relationships, and help drive innovative solutions that make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver employment tax compliance and advice to clients in a broad range of industry sectors.

  • Stay up to date with key technical and functional skills, as well as industry, business, and leadership knowledge, and share this expertise with others.

  • Contribute to business development and client pursuit efforts by preparing proposals and delivering presentations to potential clients.

  • Manage the successful delivery of technically complex and demanding consulting projects, ensuring technical excellence and a practical, business-driven approach.

  • Win and sustain client confidence.

  • Build opportunities to capture new business and develop client relationships.

  • Recognize and manage potential issues effectively during client assignments.

  • Structure and manage projects or programs of work that meet and exceed client expectations while mitigating any risks or issues.

Skills and Attributes for Success

You’ll have:

  • Experience in employment tax gained in consultancy, a legal firm, and/or a large global corporate.

  • Strong personal impact and resilience, with the ability to influence and persuade clients and stakeholders at all levels to gain support for major changes and key decisions.

  • Working and technical understanding of key employment tax issues, including:

  • Expenses and Benefits (PSAs and P11Ds)

  • Employment Status (IR35 and self-employed)

  • Payroll (PAYE, RTI, apprenticeship levy, audits)

  • Construction Industry Scheme

  • Termination Payments

  • Pensions

  • National Minimum Wage

  • Dealing with HMRC, audits, and disclosures

  • SAO and CCO

  • Basic understanding of equity plans

  • Business development skills with the ability to identify and convert opportunities to sell work.

  • Proven track record in project management and delivery.

  • Change-oriented with a flexible approach.

  • Professional, quickly establishing personal credibility and demonstrating expertise.

  • Practical approach to solving issues and gaining client agreement.

  • Ability to analyse complex problems and deliver insightful, practical, and sustainable solutions.

  • Focus on achieving project/program goals and objectives.

  • High-quality deliverables, including clear and concise technical guidance.

  • Adept at overcoming issues and barriers.

  • Identify and discuss opportunities to delegate work to less experienced team members and facilitate learning.

  • Skilled in facilitating and encouraging collaboration among team members and capable of motivating teams to maximize performance.

  • Provide timely, authentic, and constructive feedback to colleagues and seek feedback in return.

  • Ideally have the ATT and/or CTA qualifications.
