The opportunity

We are looking to strengthen our Financial Accounting & Advisory Services (“FAAS”) team with experienced profiles. The FAAS team consists of a group of experts in the following areas:

• Accounting excellence: IFRS, IPSAS, ESA, Belgian GAAP;

• Consolidation plus mergers and acquisitions: carve-out, IPO support consolidation, integration assistance;

• Management reporting: dashboards, closing process, cost accounting, cash flow analysis;

• Public sector: finance and controlling, management performance, operations performance.

Through this vacant position we envision to recruit experienced profiles to work specifically on accounting excellence. Our team is active in the Diegem, Antwerp and Ghent office allowing you to work in a flexible manner.

Job content

As a competent expert in IFRS you will join a team of IFRS professionals, mainly focused on IFRS conversion projects. In these projects we support our clients with the conversion of their local GAAP figures into IFRS figures. A typical project consist of performing IFRS technical analysis, calculation of the IFRS adjustments and development of the first IFRS financial statements. In addition to this, our team is advising clients on how to implement new IFRS standards and analyze how new transactions are to be accounted for following the IFRS rules.

We are currently looking to welcome an experienced profile within our team. Someone with a hands-on approach that can assist in performing not only technical analysis, but also the practical calculations and drafting of financial reports. Our IFRS team is actively contributing to the training of both colleagues and clients. Therefore a part of your job would also be to provide such IFRS trainings internally as well as externally.

Your profile

• You have a Master Degree and 2 – 5 years of experience in a domain relevant to IFRS;

• You are fluent in Dutch or French with a very good knowledge of English;

• You are a born team player, stress-resistant and results-oriented;

• Your work style is pragmatic and hands-on;

• You will work from one of our offices (Diegem, Antwerp or Ghent) but are flexible to work at clients sites as well;

• You have a good knowledge of the IFRS standards and BEGAAP accounting;

• You have a passion for IFRS and are willing to continuously keep your knowledge up to date with the new evolvements.
