In Malaysia, we are involved in significant oil and gas production operations and the marketing of chemical products. We also host a global business and technology center in Kuala Lumpur that provides high-level information technology and engineering expertise to Exxon Mobil’s upstream, downstream and chemical businesses worldwide.

What role you will play in the team

- You will be part of our exciting and rapidly expanding Kuala Lumpur Environment team working and collaborating on a global scale providing deep technical insights and support to Exxon Mobil’s Product Solutions business

- As the experienced advance engineer in water and wastewater, you will provide engineering expertise and support across our global operations including new projects, focusing on raw water treatment, wastewater treatment, and water reduction and reuse initiatives

What you will do

- Support facilities operations: Lead asset monitoring and analysis for Exxon Mobil’s global manufacturing facilities for raw water treatment and wastewater treatment, review use of advanced tools to provide technical insights, aid in troubleshooting and optimize performance.

- Proactively engage with facilities to identify and implement improvement opportunities to achieve competitive business results.

- Lead or support project development: design, development, engineering and start-up of new and/or modified facilities.

- Collaborate with other global technology experts in the evaluation, development, and deployment of raw water treatment, wastewater treatment, and water reduction and reuse technologies.

- Proactive collaboration with and contribution to assigned teams.

- Work visits to operating sites and other similar business travel may be required.

About you

Skills and Qualifications

- B.S. in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent

- 5 – 10+ years of experience in developing raw water and wastewater treatment solutions, preferably for the Oil and Gas and Petrochemical Industrial sectors

- Demonstrated knowledge in engineering and operation of raw water and wastewater treatment processes

- Demonstrated experience in raw water and wastewater treatment unit troubleshooting and start-ups

- Problem solving skills: Identify and implement improvements and apply broad technical and business skills and expertise to solve complex problems

- English fluency a must; Oil & Gas Industry Experience Preferred

- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
