Exxon Mobil’s affiliates in India supporting the Product Solutions business engage in the marketing, sales and distribution of performance as well as specialty products across chemicals and lubricants businesses. The India planning teams are also embedded with global business units for business planning and analytics.

Exxon Mobil’s LNG affiliate in India supporting the upstream business provides consultant services for other Exxon Mobil upstream affiliates and conducts LNG market-development activities.

What role you will play in our team

We are looking for completion engineers with 3-15 years of experience, with an emphasis on completions design, stimulation techniques, and well performance modeling, to provide wells engineering support across Exxon Mobil’s global portfolio. Exxon Mobil is a long-term, career orientated company where you will have opportunities to develop your skills while working on different projects and business functions on a global scale.

What you will do

• Work directly with global Wells teams to provide sand control completion design, carbonate completion design, inflow control completion design, and well performance modeling, leveraging Exxon Mobil subject matter expertise and company best practices to improve performance.

• Develops completion well designs and programs, ensuring alignment with operational objectives and industry best practices.

• Support the global teams in deepwater P&A planning, execution and post operations support.

• Perform wells downhole equipment reliability analysis to ensure sustained performance across the equipment’s intended life cycle.

• Provide technical support for injection wells, monitor well performance, and analyze causes of injector well impairment.

• Collaborate with engineers and operations personnel on global asset teams.

• Promote a strong safety culture across all activities.

• Integrate with adjacent disciplines – Production, facilities, reservoir & geoscience teams - to provide synergistic solutions to global wells teams.

About you Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a recognized university in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or Electrical engineering with minimum GPA of 7.5 and above

• 3-15 years of work experience in the upstream oil and gas industry

• Strong analytical skills to evaluate critical design & operating parameters through data and trend analysis

• Offshore completion operations execution experience is preferred

• Experience with software such as Prosper, NETool, Pack Pro, Well Cat, OLGA is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications / Experience:

• Knowledge and experience in Well Completions Engineering and operations execution

• Knowledge of sand control and well stimulation techniques for carbonate reservoirs

• Experience with well performance modeling to optimize production

• Interested in long-term career opportunities supporting global operations at Exxon Mobil

• Demonstrated ability to cooperate effectively in a team environment

• Flexibility to work in shifts, with opportunities to leverage flexible work hours

• Position is Bangalore-based with potential for international travel
