Introduction to the Team
Expedia Group's B2B division brings innovative technology and travel distribution solutions to business partners across the world. We serve global financial institutions, corporate managed travel programs, offline travel agents, travel suppliers, and enterprise clients, delivering products and platforms that power their travel businesses. As a Technical Product Manager III, you will play a pivotal role in shaping innovative B2B travel products that align with strategic business objectives and satisfy customer needs. You'll collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure our products remain at the forefront of the travel industry, integrating advanced AI/ML technologies, conducting rigorous market analysis, and leading product direction with data-driven insights to maintain Expedia Group's competitive edge.
In this role, you will:

Organize strategic vision into key themes that address both short-term and long-term business and customer requirements

Detail strategic plans to achieve key milestones, using compelling narratives to communicate the product roadmap

Facilitate integration of AI/ML into product functionality, leveraging understanding of model development processes including data collection, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring
-
Partner with engineering teams to make tradeoff decisions that ensure financially viable products while solving customer needs
-
Balance short-term and long-term business considerations with product decisions and partner with finance to set incremental revenue targets
-
Conduct detailed market research, including customer segmentation, market sizing, and competitive analyses to define the product's market value proposition

Design and execute product experiments, analyze data, draw insights, and make informed product decisions with support from Data Analytics teams as needed

Build effective product metric dashboards tailored to audience needs that enable ongoing cross-functional decision-making and metric reviews

Own product requirements documentation using Expedia Group standard toolkit and guide development of detailed user stories

Influence without authority, earn trust and credibility with peer leaders, and effectively communicate up and down within the organization

Articulate product concepts, strategies, and decisions clearly and persuasively to cross-functional teams and customers
Experience and Qualifications Required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience

5+ years of product management experience (or 3+ years with a Master's degree)

Demonstrated experience with Agile practices and product development methodologies
-
Proficient understanding of AI/ML concepts and data science principles
-
Proven track record of using data-driven insights to inform product decisions and strategy
-
Experience owning product requirements, user stories, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering and design teams

Proficient communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
-
Business acumen with ability to balance customer needs with financial objectives

Experience in B2B travel technology, SaaS, or marketplace products

Understanding of technical architecture and system dependencies

Experience building and interpreting product metrics dashboards

Background in applying the scientific method to product experimentation and hypothesis testing
