Stockhandler II Learner:
Qualifications
- A High School diploma or the equivalent (GED) is required
- A valid motor vehicle driver's license with a proven safe driving record is required
- The ability to obtain a CDL-B driver's license and a fork truck driver's license is also required
- Other requirements include mechanical aptitude, manual and finger dexterity, the ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and learn various computer systems, including MAXIMO
- Physical requirements include the ability to: push/pull 50 to 100 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
Benefits
- The salary range for this position starts at Step 1 $32.82 ($33.80 effective 6/1/26) and progresses in accordance with the union contract
Responsibilities
- The Stockhandler orders, receives, records, stores, prepackages, issues, and maintains adequate stock of material, equipment and supplies in the substation maintenance storeroom
- In addition, the employee may deliver materials to field locations and prepare materials for specific jobs
- Other duties include assisting with environmental issues, maintaining shop and yard cleanliness, performing weekly material inventories, and other duties as assigned.
- Normal working hours for this position will be Monday
- Friday, 7:00 am until 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise assigned
- Individuals filling this position will be expected to work a reasonable amount of overtime and will have storm restoration and emergency assignments
- Responding to emergency situations to meet customers' needs is part of every employee's role
- If employed, you will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment,
- this means you may be called to assist during an emergency outside of your normal responsibilities, work hours and location
