About this opportunity

This is a position at Ericsson R&D where you get to work with a team of highly motivated engineers in delivering Ericsson's world-leading telecom application servers. We are creating a team to consolidate our leadership in this marketplace and help build the next generation Cloud Native product. These telecom applications are part of Ericsson's Cloud Communication portfolio.
Within PDG Enterprise, Agile methodology and philosophy are practiced in spirit.

What you will do:

• Perform continuous analysis, feature handling and improve product test efficacy.
• You are continuously experimenting and learning something new.
• Be accountable for feature quality and maintenance by being responsible for test analysis, test automation, test execution, integration/release and bug fix validation.
• Ensure product quality, automated testability, efficient continuous integration, and customer releasable deliveries.
• Trouble shoot product issues and support our customers.
• Develop competence in technical domain.

The skills you bring

• Good knowledge in UNIX/Linux, Python / Cucumber BDD framework and test Automation.
• Good knowledge in API, Functional, System test and tools, Java / JMeter etc.
• Working knowledge of network protocols including IP, TCP, HTTP, etc.
• Good knowledge, and experience in following competence domain for SW QA:
• DB: Cassandra, kvdb, etc.
• Cloud Native platforms including Container, Docker, Kubernetes, and Service Mesh
• Micro-Service architecture
• Dev env / Tools: CI/CD, Jenkins, Gerrit, GITLab, etc.
• HTTP, TCP/IP
• Additional experience in Characteristics / Non-functional testing would be a big positive.
• Working knowledge of 5G Packet Core, Voice Core and UDM.
• Creative problem-solving skills and strong troubleshooting / debugging skills.
• Comfortable with use of AI based Coding assistant tools as part of SW development life cycle and associated processes.
• Solid work ethic, customer focus, team player with passion for delivering world class solutions.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Prior experience in Network APIs is a big plus

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum years of relevant experience: 5 - 10 years of overall product test experience with a minimum of 3 years on a Cloud Native 5G Core Network product.
• Education: B. Tech Degree in CS/EC/EE or related studies. M. Tech Degree is a plus
