About this Opportunity:

We are excited to present a dynamic opportunity for a Solution Architect – Orchestration to join our Core Commerce & Orchestration unit in MEA.
At Ericsson, we are driving the evolution towards autonomous, programmable networks, enabling Communication Service Providers to monetize 5G through differentiated connectivity, automation, and AI-driven operations.
This role is focused on working in both Pre-Sales and Delivery designing and delivering end-to-end orchestration solutions, leveraging catalog-driven architectures, inventory integration, and assurance capabilities, with Ericsson Service Orchestration and Automation (ESOA) as the core engine.
The architect will play a key role in shaping solutions that enable:

  • 5G platform scaling

  • Differentiated connectivity (incl. network slicing)

  • AI/ML-driven closed-loop automation

  • Autonomous network operations aligned with TMF and SMO frameworks

  • What you will do

  • Lead value-based solution positioning and proposal development to secure strategic transformation programs and ensure deliverability

  • Act as design authority for major transformation engagements, ensuring solutions align with customer needs and Ericsson’s architectural principles.

  • Own the technical architecture end-to-end: define, scope and drive design solutions across Orchestration domain, which major focus on ESOA. Design end-to-end orchestration solutions for:
o RAN, Core, and Transport domains
o 5G & Differentiated Connectivity Enablement (Network slicing, QoS/QoE-driven services, Traffic steering and policy-based automation)
    o Autonomous Networks & Closed-Loop Automation

  • Contribute to reusable assets (service templates, orchestration patterns, integration blueprints) and support standardization and industrialization of delivery approaches to enable faster delivery through reuse and best practices

  • Share knowledge, contribute to internal communities and foster a culture of re-use and continuous learning

Skills You will Bring:

  • 10+ years in telecom/OSS domain
  • HLD/LLD design & customer-facing experience
  • Hands-on experience with service orchestration platforms (ESOA or similar)
  • Catalog-driven architectures (service/resource modeling)
  • Good understanding of Inventory systems, Order management (SOM/COM concepts) and Assurance (PM/FM, event correlation, AIOps basics)
  • Familiarity with industry standards (TM Forum, 3GPP, O-RAN SMO)
  • Knowledge of 5G Core/RAN, microservices & cloud-native architectures

Can Be Learned on the Job:

  • Ericsson-specific tooling & internal processes
  • Deep AIOps/closed-loop automation specifics

You will be at the forefront of Ericsson’s orchestration and automation strategy, contributing to the realization of autonomous networks and next-generation 5G services. You’ll work on cutting-edge solutions, directly impacting how CSPs:

  • monetize their networks
  • automate operations
  • deliver differentiated services
