Senior Software Engineer – Enterprise Systems

We are seeking a senior-level software engineer who brings deep technical expertise, strong system design capability, and the ability to lead complex initiatives from concept through delivery. This role requires someone who can operate independently, influence technical direction, and mentor others while contributing hands-on across the stack.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design, development, and enhancement of enterprise applications and backend systems
  • Drive technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions that ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability
  • Translate business requirements into well-structured technical solutions
  • Modernize and optimize legacy systems where appropriate
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers
  • Identify risks, performance bottlenecks, and system vulnerabilities, and proactively propose solutions
  • Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies with a focus on delivery quality and continuous improvement
  • Take full ownership of complex initiatives with minimal supervision

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a seasoned technologist with strong engineering judgment and the ability to influence outcomes through both expertise and collaboration.

  • Hands-on experience developing and supporting enterprise-grade applications
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL (Oracle experience preferred)
  • Strong skill with at least one major programming language such as Java / Python / Golang / TypeScript.
  • Skills working in UNIX/Linux environments and Kubernetes, including shell scripting (C-shell, Korn shell, or similar)
  • Proven ability to design systems and collaborate effectively with technical architects and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of application performance, scalability, and secure coding practices
  • Experience operating within Agile/Scrum environments

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Java, Oracle Forms and ProC
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
  • Experience with JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular or React)
  • Experience integrating or transitioning legacy platforms into modern architecture
  • 5+ years of industry experience

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field — or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently while also elevating team performance
  • Continuous learner who stays current with evolving technologies and best practices
