Job Summary:

Are you an experienced sales professional who has experience in sales of actuators & controls, valve automation products looking for a meaningful growth opportunity? Emerson invites you to join our sales team managing north-based customers.

Increase order booking for Emerson Actuation Technologies products in North Region by focusing on End users from Oil & Gas, Power, Metal & Mining etc industry sector as well Valve OEM.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Responsible for growing and building relationships with customers from North region Of India. Mainly Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, UP, Uttarakhand, J&K etc. to increase ACT products and solutions business volume

• Meeting / Exceeding set Booking Targets, Gross Profit and Goals for the respective Financial Year

• Set Strategy for business growth, implement and drive result.

• Own all Valve OEM accounts to lead and win Projects

• Engage early with the End users and/or engineering consultants in the FEED / Planning phase of projects to drive preference for ACT through influencing specifications, technology and solutions differentiation messaging.

• Work closely with Emerson multi-BU India organization to create more opportunities to win and capture installed base.

• Products focus would be to sell Biffi, Bettis, EIM, Rack & Pinion (brands such as Bettis, Hytork etc) with complete (VOS) Valve operating system & Emerson make Gear Boxes

• Expand customers coverage by identifying new customers and new applications with existing customers.

• Promote and drive new products and solutions with End Users.

• Support end users for their Outage, Plant level, and replacement opportunity.

• Map and increase installed base of ACT products in the region.

• Focus on Water Treatment, Sewerage treatment, irrigation projects in your region & promote ACT products especially electrical actuators and gear boxes.

Any additional work which is not defined above but required for completing job responsibilities.

Communication Skills

1. Internal – Peers within function

Emerson being a matrix organization, communication with peers within India and across the globe is important. Need to communicate and work with peers across cross business units to increase customer interaction.

2. External – Customers

Need strong understanding about “Know your customer” which is mainly end user through VOEM. Should have established relationship with End user & able to communicate through case studies & presentations.

Who You Are:

• Prior experience working with government entities is must
  E,g. EIL, IOCL, GAIL, IGL, NTPC, NPCIL, etc

• Prior experience working knowledge in valves and actuators industry will be preferable

• Disciplined financial reporting is must

• Commit and own monthly, quarterly and yearly booking numbers in line with target

• Should have experience working with Matrix organization & understand multiple reporting levels

• Strong leadership skills, independent thinking

• Possesses good communication and negotiation skills

• Strong planning and organizing skills

• Have integrity and possess strong interpersonal skills

• Self-motivated with determination to succeed and ability to meet deadline

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering / science discipline with 8-10 years of relevant experience. Other degree holder with minimum of 12-15 years of experience of directly selling in the process Automation Industry and On Off Valves industry

• Strong knowledge and experience with End Users, Engineering Consultants and VOEMs

• Based on relevant experience suitable job positions will be decided
