Manufacturing Shipping Crate Handler (2nd Shift)

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Conduct all job duties with Safety as a priority and in compliance with Safety Rules.
- Align with and maintain areas to 5S standards.
- Segregate non-conforming materials according to work instructions.
- Maintain equipment with daily cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Package various types and sized production parts and assemblies.
- Perform all required testing, paperwork, quality records, documents, etc.
- Operate several types of PIV’s.
- Align with all safety and work instructions.
- Ensure accuracy in processing orders and communicating within the department.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping rules, standards, and clean/restock as the need arises.
- Reduce lead times and optimize production cycle to conform to "make-to-order".
- Maintain competitive cost associated with boxing and crating labor, material, tooling, inventory, etc.
For This Role, You Will Need:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time; strength in arms and legs.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical specifications and instructions.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft suite)
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Associates degree or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2 – 3 years proven experience working within a Shipping atmosphere – boxing, crating, forklift experience.
