In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Act as a primary contact for customer inquiries via phone, email, and online channels, providing clear and timely support on technical and commercial questions, especially related to control valves.
Review customer requirements and specifications, and prepare accurate quotations and proposals that align with Emerson standards and customer needs.
Partner closely with field sales and application engineers to develop solutions that address customer challenges and highlight the value of Emerson’s control valve portfolio.
Interpret technical documents such as P&IDs, datasheets, and drawings, and translate them into appropriate valve selection, configuration, and related accessories.
Use CRM tools to track opportunities, maintain up-to-date customer information, and support transparent, data-driven sales activities.
Coordinate with operations, logistics, and customer service teams to follow up on orders, delivery schedules, and post-order requests, ensuring a smooth and reliable customer experience.
Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell related products and services that can enhance the performance and lifecycle of customers’ control valve installations.
Share insights from customer interactions with internal teams, contributing to continuous improvement of processes, tools, and customer-facing materials.
Uphold Emerson’s standards of ethics, compliance, and safety in all internal and external interactions, representing the company with professionalism and integrity.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Experience in a customer-facing role such as inside sales, technical support, or customer service in a B2B or industrial environment.
Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and accessible way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Interest in or openness to learning about control valves, fluid control, and related industrial applications.
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and build positive working relationships.
Good organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency with digital tools such as Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM systems or similar platforms.
Business-level Japanese communication skills and the ability to work with English documentation and systems within a global organization.
Eligibility to work in Japan in accordance with local regulations.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

Educational background in engineering, science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in industrial or automation environments.
Knowledge of or hands-on experience with control valves or valve products (such as control valves, regulating valves, or related flow control equipment).
Experience in roles such as inside sales engineer, application engineer, or technical support for industrial equipment or automation solutions.
Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and ERP or order management tools to manage quotes, orders, and customer data.
Understanding of process industries such as chemical, oil and gas, power, life sciences, or general manufacturing.
Experience reading and working from technical specifications and drawings to develop product configurations and quotations.
Experience working in a global or matrixed organization and collaborating with regional or international teams.
