Job Summary
We are looking for a Planning Supervisor who will be responsible for the planning management. The role will coordinate with teams from local suppliers to Qingpu Plant. If you possess the requirements we are seeking for, this exciting role is for you!
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Demand Planning & Management
· Lead the demand review stage within the monthly/quarterly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
· Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to integrate market intelligence, historical data, and promotional plans, generating accurate rolling demand forecasts.
· Monitor Forecast Accuracy (FA), analyze root causes of deviations, and drive continuous improvement.
· Manage demand planning for New Product Introduction (NPI) and End-of-Life (EOL) products.
- Master Production Schedule (MPS) & Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
· Develop a feasible Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory strategies.
· Oversee the execution of MRP system runs to ensure accurate and timely material requirements.
· Balance supply and demand conflicts, resolving major issues related to capacity, materials, or resources.
· Monitor Master Schedule Attainment to ensure production activities align with overall business goals.
- Material Planning & Inventory Control
· Develop and implement inventory strategies and safety stock models for raw materials, and work-in-progress (WIP).
· Manage supply plans with key suppliers to ensure stability and flexibility of material supply.
· Monitor material inventory levels (Days of Inventory, Turnover Ratio), proactively identifying and addressing excess/obsolete stock and shortage risks.
· Work closely with the buyer to optimize purchase order timing and quantities.
Production Planning & Scheduling:
· Supervise detailed production scheduling to ensure timely release of production orders, maximizing equipment utilization and labor efficiency.
· Coordinate with Production, SOM/IPM to ensure smooth execution of manufacturing activities.
· Track production progress in real-time, handle production exceptions (e.g., equipment breakdowns, quality issues), and make dynamic schedule adjustments.
Digitalization & System Optimization:
· Act as a key user to lead or participate in the implementation and optimization of ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle), Advanced Planning Systems (APS), or other supply chain digitalization projects.
· Utilize data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to develop planning dashboards for supply chain visibility.
· Identify opportunities for automating manual processes and drive the standardization and digitalization of planning workflows.
· Continuously explore and advocate for new technologies or tools to enhance planning efficiency and intelligence.
Team Leadership & Daily Management:
· Lead, train, and develop the planning team, setting clear performance objectives (KPIs) and conducting regular performance reviews.
· Optimize team workflows to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely planning activities.
· Foster cross-functional communication, problem-solving, and data analysis skills within the team.
· Promote a collaborative and continuous improvement culture.
Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

At least 6 years working experience in the field of production planning in multinational manufacturing company.

Able to communicate in spoken and written English.

Proficient in Microsoft Office suites and PC.

Knowledge of planning processes and practices or equivalent is preferred.

Must be a self starter& self motivated

Learn Master Schedule and know well oracle or SAP.
-
APICS CPIM/CSCP or similar supply chain professional certification is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Flow control industries background is preferred.

Familiar with industry standards for valves, pressure vessels and mechanical components will be added advantage.

Presentation skill is preferred.
