This position is engaged in all sales phases – from cold sell calls to contractual awards, and the handover of such to the project execution and delivery organization. Focus areas of responsibility are as follows:

  • Implement and continuously improve the local PWS (Power & Water Solutions) sales strategy and tactics throughout the agreed region, developing the business leveraging Emerson’s product portfolio
  • Identify and prospect, develop, drive, and close sales opportunities
  • Own the allocated order budget throughout each fiscal year
  • Account management for assigned customers

The Outside Sales Engineer reports to the SYSS Sales Director and has dotted-line collaborative responsibility with the European Business Support organization.

Who You Are:

You provide timely and helpful information to individuals across the organization. You focus on priorities and set stretch goals. For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Power industry fluency and application knowledge is mandatory.
  • Proven track record of direct selling in a complex technical and commercial sales environment.
  • Degree level in Engineering discipline (B.Sc. or higher) or equivalent.
  • Good communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Dutch as well as English fluency required.
  • Experience of developing successful relationships internally and externally, cross functionally, within a matrix organization.
  • Ability and willingness to travel (domestically) in order to fulfil duties of the role, expected 25% to 50% of time.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Driving license.
