Culture and Employee Connection Specialist, Penang
The Culture and Connection Programs Team aims to create a workplace where NIers feel a strong sense of organizational identity, foster meaningful social relationships with each other, and come together to make a positive impact on the world around them. NI is seeking a candidate who is proactive and a natural community builder to join us as a Culture and Employee Connection Specialist in Penang. This dynamic role involves implementing local strategies and organizing experiences to connect NIers with the company, each other, and the local community. The role will require flexibility as priorities may shift.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Champions and role models NI’s culture, values, and brand.
- Organizes employee focused experiences that align with NI’s values and contribute to company culture.
- Partners with Site Leadership and HR to develop a strategy and project plans to build and implement programming while gaining input and agreement from stakeholders.
- Collaborates to develop the site’s annual line up of events and programs to encourage employee connection, volunteerism, celebration, and appreciation.
- Enables, advises, and rallies employee champions and committees who bring the culture to life.
- Effectively manages program and events budget.
- Assesses success of activity through participation, employee feedback, and ROI. Leverages employee sentiment, insights, and feedback to continuously improve efforts.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in community building or event coordination.
- Previous experience in employee engagement or HR preferred.
- Excellent English language proficiency, both written and spoken.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Exceptional organizational and event planning abilities.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and manage shifting priorities.
- Understanding of how to interact with and energize employees and leadership team.
- Experience in managing budgets and adhering to financial resources.
- Capability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs that may impact project deliverables and timelines.
- Flexibility to work outside of regular hours for events or meetings.
