Job Summary:
The Sales Engineer is focused on delivering sales targets for Emerson’s Fluid & Motion Control (FLMC) portfolio within assigned territory by identifying customer challenges and addressing them effectively. They are the guardian of the customer relationship, orchestrating the development of corporate-wide resources to provide comprehensive product, service, and solutions to the customer base. They own the B2B Alignment between customers and FLMC.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Meet or Exceed Annual business goals and targets for the given customer accounts.
- Establish and develop high level positive relationships with key leaders and at all levels within the Product and Account Portfolio named.
- Leverage existing and develop new relationships with decision-makers to successfully position Instrumentation products as No Equal or the preferred supplier of Technology, Products, Services and Solutions.
- Drive opportunities throughout the accounts covered by acting as “trusted advisor” to customers by offering solutions to customer problems.
- Driving solution selling approach, assess and understand customer requirements, applications and pains. Suggest appropriate technical and product solutions and to best meet customer requirements.
- Perform Site Surveys (Site Walks) to generate KOB3 opportunities.
- Analyze and develop plans to drive competitive displacements.
- Update CRM tools to keep opportunity stages up to date.
- Prepare and present growth plans, forecasts, pricing surveys, and competitor intelligence.
- Work closely with other Emerson Divisions and improve pull-through content.
- Ensure Business Unit plans, and key initiatives are consistent with account plans and are implemented in a timely professional manner.
- Keep up to date with developments in products, industries, and market trends.
- Ensure Emerson Ethics and trade compliance procedures are strictly followed with all business transactions.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
- 5-6 years of Sales experience, preferably in Field Instruments.
- Strong business skills & commercial awareness
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Oil & Gas Instrumentation with Solenoid valves application & service knowledge.
- Proven background in proactive selling
- Instrumentation knowledge will have preference.
- Ability to communicate and deliver the business-based value messages.
