We are looking for a seasoned, experienced Project/Program Management professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; ability to drive desired outcomes and resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways. This role is fully qualified and hard-working at the journey-level.
Having a working knowledge of T&M products and services is a huge plus.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Has fundamental knowledge of cross-functional deliverables critical to project execution.
- Understands schedule, cost, and scope dependencies between functions well enough to facilitate planning and creative problem solving across functions.
- Responsible for making tradeoffs to stay within the project bounding box (scope, dev cost, timeline). Evaluates the business impact of trade-offs and makes recommendations for things outside of the bounding box.
- Proactively drives risks from projects by proposing, evaluating, and leading risk mitigation alternatives that seek balance of schedule/features/cost/quality.
- Is familiar with and uses industry standard methodologies
- Identifies and recommends process improvements to benefit long-term product quality and management efficiency.
Who You Are:
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
For This Role, You Will Need:- Makes effective decisions within the project bounding box. Proactively escalates contingency recommendations outside the bounding box to project sponsors.
- Maintains clear channels of communications with project team, with sponsors, and with division leadership.
- Builds partnerships across functions (Services, Planning, Manufacturing, Systems R&D).
- Able to set clear expectations with team members, other managers, and cross functional partners.
- Capable of conveying and presenting messages with the appropriate level of detail with coaching.
- Capable of interacting with customers.
- Able to gather appropriate information, evaluate options, and make a balanced and timely decision to ensure progress.
- Works across other project managers to ensure consistent usage of best practices.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree.
- Technical or engineering background; experience working with engineering teams on complex projects.
