ABOUT THE ROLE
The Associate Director – BI&A / Decision Intelligence leads the strategy, development, and execution of data, analytics, market research, and insight capabilities for the Commercial organization of Eli Lilly Brazil. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this is the senior business analytics and insights leader for the affiliate — accountable for embedding data-driven decision-making across brand teams, sales, and commercial operations, and for turning analytics and primary research into measurable business impact.
Aligned with the broader ICH Tech Strategy on Reimagine Work / AI, this role leads the Commercial organization's transition from traditional BI&A — historically anchored on dashboards and retrospective reporting — toward Decision Intelligence: AI-assisted insight delivered at the point of decision. The role integrates secondary analytics with primary market research into a unified insights agenda, ensuring the affiliate's data foundations and advanced analytics methodologies translate into competitive advantage for the portfolio. The AD manages a team of 3–4 internal FTEs plus offshore and vendor oversight, and serves as Brazil's primary interface with global BI&A and Tech@Lilly partners.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic Leadership & Commercial Impact

-
Integrate primary research with secondary analytics into unified insight outputs, and manage relationships with external market research agencies and vendors.

Partnership with Tech@Lilly and Global BI&A
-

-
Lead Commercial adoption of the Enterprise Data Backbone and advanced analytics solutions; influence Tech@Lilly investment priorities by representing Commercial business needs.
-
Engage with global BI&A and ICH-wide capability forums to ensure Brazil leverages and contributes to enterprise best practices, methodologies, and reusable assets.

-
Mentor BI&A and Market Research talent in advanced analytics, research design, business storytelling, and decision-quality methodologies.

The expectation is solid working knowledge across data, analytics, and AI domains — sufficient to engage credibly with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and AI specialists, assess proposals, and make informed business decisions.
