About the role

  • Support the day-to-day operational processes for Workplace retirement accounts, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to regulatory and firm requirements.

  • Provide oversight of external vendors supporting Workplace operations by monitoring performance, quality standards, service level agreements, and issue resolution.

  • Partner with Operations Risk, Compliance, Legal, Service, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to identify and mitigate operational risks, address process gaps, support regulatory and audit activities, and drive continuous process improvement.

  • Independently research, analyze, and resolve complex operational issues and escalations using sound judgment and critical thinking.

  • Understand the core business processes performed within the team and applying risk and third-party vendor management practices to identify risks and confirm they are mitigated, where appropriate.

  • Drive process improvement initiatives that enhance the client experience, increase efficiency, and create scalability within Workplace operations.

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of operational controls and risk management processes.

  • Support new product launches, operational enhancements, vendor transitions, and change management efforts by assessing impacts and developing sustainable processes.

  • Utilize data and reporting to identify trends, measure performance, and provide actionable insights that support business decisions.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience supporting retirement accounts such as ERISA or non-ERISA plans, financial services, or a related field preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to oversee vendor relationships, monitor performance, and address service-related issues.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis to determine appropriate solutions.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt effectively in a changing environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across departments and with external partners.

  • Experience evaluating and mitigating risk related to vendors and internal processes

  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office products, including advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI and operational reporting is preferred.

  • Ability to analyze, research, and make decisions on non-routine issues independently with minimal guidance.
