Team Overview:
Edward Jones Connection (EJC) exists to enable branch teams to optimize their practice by serving clients remotely in partnership with Branch Teams to improve Branch Capacity and business results.
The EJC Department Leader is responsible for the performance, execution, and development of teams supporting 10-12 US markets. Ensuring strong partnership with field leaders and home office stakeholders to build strong partnerships between practices and our EJC Team. This leader will be responsible for creating the conditions to drive optimal client and practice experiences, aligned with our department policies and processes, in service to the firm's 2030 ambition and partner with other EJC Sr. Leaders to lead key strategic initiatives.
What You'll Do:
- Develop & execute a department business plan which consists of multiple teams, capabilities and processes.
- Contribute strategically to the department's design and impact upon the firm's 2030 goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and EJC Leadership Team to create and execute on department's goals.
- Develop, manage and report on key measures.
- Monitor and manage department expenditures.
- Select, train, and develop a diverse group of team leaders and administrative assistant(s) to maximize desired levels of performance and results.
- Ensure leadership succession planning is in place.
- Lead the department's efforts while developing and maintaining strong working partnerships with all internal constituents as well as practice teams and Market and Region Leadership teams.
- Responsible for successful leadership and execution of the department business plan objectives that support the Firm Plan Goals for EJC and EJE.

What Experience You Need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Series 7 and 66 (or 63) required.
- 5 or more years of Edward Jones experience required (within MPS, MM or PM preferred) with 2+ years of leadership/management experience required.
- Strong knowledge of how our EJ Practice Teams deliver an ideal client experience is required.
- Must have the ability to lead, manage, and develop multiple leaders, associates and programs.
- Ability to develop and implement new business strategies to further expand or improve the program.
- Strong marketing and presentation skills, as well as exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to set and effectively communicate direction is imperative
- Strong collaborative skills to work with others and drive for results with General Partners, Market Leaders, Regional Leaders, Financial Advisors, and associates in other departments/divisions. Proven ability to collaborate with multiple divisions to successfully execute on objectives.
- Knowledge of Practice Training, Planning & Development, and FA Coaching policies/procedures.
- General knowledge of human resources, legal and compliance policies as they relate to client service and client transition situations.
