Team Overview: The Edward Jones Connection (EJC) Team at Edward Jones exists to enable branch team to optimize their practice by creating capacity, through serving clients in partnership. The Training and Project Specialist is responsible for the onboarding, training, and upskilling of associates in Edward Jones Connection.
The Training and Project Specialist is responsible for producing performance-based, interactive learning programs to meet the business needs of the department to effectively meet our department's purpose. This individual works in a collaborative team environment leading or participating in initiatives as it relates to change management, project management, initiative prioritization and tracking, and test and learns.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist or lead in the facilitation of department training, upskilling, onboarding, and coaching.
  • Design and develop learning content in alignment to department's service model and field partnership as a desired outcome.
  • Responsible for consistently implementing the firm's change process into learning related projects in EJC.
  • Build, maintain and leverage perspective on internal and external trends that can improve trainee experience.
  • Support organizational change management through the creation of Standard Operation Procedures ( SOP's) , data reporting, and established communication channels.
  • Identify and assess risks, issues, and opportunities with impacts for stakeholders related to the onboarding of new associates while adhering to department and firm standards.
  • Work in partnership with leaders to provide meaningful feedback and coaching to associates.
  • Lead in the formulation of process improvements, design, and alignment to department's purpose and firm's Financial Advisor Training.
  • Mentor onboarding specialist in the department.
  • Think strategically to define instructional design, best practices, workflow, processes to add capacity to leaders in EJC.

Current Internal home-based associates please note: Even as a campus-based posted role you are eligible to apply and, if selected, you may retain your home-based status. However future business or regulatory needs may require on-site work and some roles may carry a preference for campus-based presence.

What Experience You Need:

  • Current Series 7 and 66 (OR combination of both Series 63 and 65) licenses required for consideration.
  • 3+ years' experience in training, coaching, or performance development related work.
  • Strong virtual facilitation skills and client centric mindset.
  • Securities industry experience as a Financial Advisor or a position supporting FA’s requiring extensive product, service, market, and general investing knowledge.
  • Knowledge and experience in training, coaching, competency development, team development, performance management and support, and process improvement.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and apply technical information. Familiarity in Salesforce, Money Guide, and MS Office.
  • Must be able to understand information about various securities, market conditions, industry trends, financial planning, and relationship building.
  • Solid skills in prioritizing work, project planning and execution, collaboration, influence, and adaptability.
