What will you do:

• Lead, inspire, and scale a team of backend and frontend engineers to deliver innovative, high quality, and customer centric solutions.

• Develop and mentor team members with empathy, fostering professional growth and technical excellence across the organization.

• Drive end to end ownership of team deliverables, ensuring the delivery of reliable, maintainable, and scalable systems that support e Bay’s global platform.

• Partner closely with product managers, business stakeholders, and analytics teams to design, build, and scale the next generation of Protections experiences.

• Balance immediate business needs with long term technical investments, enabling sustainable innovation and high impact outcomes.

• Define and communicate a clear technical vision that inspires and guides the team.

• Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging technologies and architectural approaches that enhance team efficiency, agility, and product quality.

• Partner effectively and influence peers and senior leadership both within the organization and across e Bay

• Lead by example, giving high-quality code reviews, and encouraging a culture of excellence and continuous improvement

What you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree in EE, CS or other related field or equivalent exp.

• 12 years of experience with proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks, with deep mastery in one or two specific languages/framework

• 5 years of experience in technical leadership roles leading engineering teams.

• Experience designing and building large scale distributed systems with high availability, scalability, and reliability..

• Experience in proposing and influencing technical strategy & roadmap, balancing short/long term wins.

• Proven results-oriented leader with a strong focus on execution and delivery in an agile environment.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to express ideas and proposals clearly and effectively.

• Familiarity with the e Commerce domain is a plus.

• Experience integrating AI capabilities into large scale systems is a plus.
