We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Mobile Application Security Engineer to join e Bay's Application Security team under Global Information Security to tackle the problems of tomorrow while continuing to build and secure the foundation of today.

The Application Security team ensures all e Bay products are secured via optimized security processes and solutions.

We need a hands-on senior Mobile Application Security Engineer with engineering experience to research, craft, and implement capabilities and defenses to secure and protect e Bay's critical Mobile Native applications and supporting infrastructure.

What you will accomplish

• Perform Mobile Application Security architecture, design reviews and assessments of e Bay Mobile Native product solutions (iOS, Android).

• Architect, engineer and implement Mobile Native Security solutions for iOS and Android leveraging AI / LLM capabilities as needed.

• Develop scalable static and dynamic Application security scanning solutions for Mobile Native along with security management tools and processes

• Provide hands-on engineering support for Native security solutions

• Own processes for continuously fine-tuning Mobile security rules and processes for efficient detection and mitigation

• Review Mobile native security findings/violations reports and coordinate remediation efforts

• Collaborate with peer Info Sec teams in security incident investigations, and drive the security charter across organizations

What you will bring

• BSCS degree with 9-12 years of experience or an MS degree with 7+ years of experience

• 8+ years Mobile Security engineering experience in the Application space or 8+ years Software Engineering experience including Mobile Native Security experience covering i

OS and Android:

• Hands-on experience in performing Mobile Native Application Security architecture and design reviews, security scanning including security incidents troubleshooting

• Hands-on development experience in iOS and Android technologies including Swift, Kotlin and usage of AI / LLM related technologies.

• Good understanding of OWASP top 10 vulnerabilities for Mobile Native, as it relates to secure product development including AI / LLM technologies and their security implications

• Mobile Systems design experience and familiarity with Identity authentication & authorization concepts

• Additional familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM) is a big plus.

• Experience in containers, container orchestration technologies like Docker, Kubernetes is preferred

• Ability to clearly articulate issues and communicate with leadership and partner teams in an effective and personable manner

• Self-starter and Effective communicator

• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a small team in a fast-paced environment

Additional Details

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$156,800 - $255,300

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
