The Global Buying Hub (GBH) team is dedicated to creating a seamless, personalized, and locally relevant shopping journey for e Bay buyers worldwide. We support more than 150 markets and 11 languages, ensuring global consistency while delivering experiences that reflect local expectations, cultural nuances, and buyer preferences.
To amplify our impact, we are seeking a Manager, Buyer Experience – GBH (Risk, Trust & Payments) to support initiatives that enhance buyer confidence and reduce friction across the checkout. This role will play a key part in defining and improving payment, identity, and risk-related buyer touchpoints, helping e Bay deliver secure, intuitive, and globally compliant experiences.
Job Responsibilities:

Analyze buyer payment behaviors and preferences (e.g., wallet usage, BNPL adoption, mobile payment trends) to inform product and business priorities.

Partner with marketing teams to map local payment landscapes and assess how e Bay’s offering compares to competitors.

Provide insights-driven recommendations to Product and Payments teams to improve buyer adoption of preferred payment methods and reduce friction in high-potential markets.

Support the development of the regional Risk strategy

Collaborate with Product, Payments, and Marketing teams to design and execute buyer education and awareness initiatives that promote secure and easy payments

Partner with Business Analytics and FP&A to quantify the business impact of Payment and Risk improvements (conversion, satisfaction, and retention).

Contribute to regional launch planning and performance reviews for new payment capabilities, ensuring readiness across teams.

Work closely with Payments, Risk, Trust, Marketing to ensure initiatives balance buyer experience, risk management, and commercial performance.

Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Policy to understand market-specific regulations affecting buyer payment experiences.
Job Requirements:

5–8 years of experience in Buyer Experience, Payments, Marketing, or Strategy roles within e-commerce, fintech, or digital platforms.

Proven ability to turn insights into business actions — using data, research, and benchmarking to shape recommendations.

Analytical thinker with experience in market analysis, competitive intelligence, and performance reporting.

Passion for e Bay’s mission and a genuine interest in improving global buyer trust and payment experiences.
Additional Details
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
C**$110,000** - C**$146,900**
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including RRSP eligibility, various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
