Senior Manager, Emergency Response & Intelligence
Position Overview
The Senior Manager, Crisis Management & Intelligence holds a leadership role within the Global Crisis Management (GCR) team within Enterprise Management Resources (EMR) and acts as a vital element e Bay's resilience program. This role leads e Bay’s global Crisis Management and Intelligence efforts to maintain enterprise resilience, operational continuity, and proactive risk control throughout e Bay’s international presence.
Reporting within EMR, this leader coordinates two integrated teams:
- Crisis Management
- Global Intelligence
The role ensures alignment between crisis response frameworks, global intelligence analysis, and enterprise risk reporting. It also supports corporate strategy and M&A activity through structured intelligence assessments.
This position plays a meaningful role in strengthening enterprise preparedness, improving situational awareness, and safeguarding e Bay’s people, locations, reputation, and operations worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Crisis Leadership (Global Crisis Support)
- Lead e Bay’s enterprise Crisis Management framework under EMR governance.
- Act as a key leader within Global Crisis Resources, managing cross-functional response to high-impact global incidents.
- Coordinate crisis activation protocols, executive briefings, and global response coordination.
- Partner with GSOC and Global Security Operations to ensure seamless handling of enterprise issues and site-level incident management.
- Conduct executive scenario planning, tabletop exercises, and after-action reviews.
- Continuously improve enterprise crisis playbooks and global response standards.
Global Intelligence Oversight
Lead and integrate the following intelligence functions within EMR:
Strategic Intelligence
- Deliver forward-looking geopolitical and macro risk analysis impacting enterprise operations.
- Provide executive-level risk briefings to support long-term decision making.
Travel Intelligence
- Coordinate global travel risk assessments and duty-of-care advisories.
- Monitor emerging threats affecting employee mobility.
Event Intelligence
- Conduct pre-event threat assessments for corporate events and executive engagements.
- Coordinate intelligence support with regional security partners.
Security Intelligence – Global Locations
- Guide the creation of site-level security intelligence evaluations throughout e Bay’s worldwide offices and operational centers.
- Monitor geopolitical, civil unrest, crime, regulatory, and insider threat risks affecting e Bay locations.
- Provide recurring site risk posture updates to EMR and senior leadership.
- Collaborate with Global Security Operations, Facilities, and EH&S to ensure intelligence guides physical security posture and resource planning.
- Support GSOC in analyzing blocking issues and reporting trends.
Enterprise Risk Dashboard & Business Intelligence
- Build and coordinate enterprise risk dashboards integrating data from across EMR into a single pain of glass on potential site specific risks.
M&A Risk Due Diligence
- Provide intelligence and security risk assessments during M&A due diligence.
- Evaluate geographic, regulatory, operational, and reputational risks of target entities.
Team Leadership & Enterprise Partnership:
- Lead and cultivate high-performing Crisis Management and Intelligence teams within EMR.
- Establish clear operating rhythms, accountability structures, and development pathways.
- Partner across: GSOC, Security Operations, Investigations, EH&S and all EMR partners, People Team, Corporate Development, Legal
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in crisis management, intelligence, enterprise risk, or global security.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience operating within enterprise-level crisis governance structures.
- Solid experience in geopolitical and site security intelligence.
- Experience assisting with M&A risk evaluations.
- Demonstrated executive briefing and dashboard development experience.
