About the team and the role:

e Bay Live is one of e Bay’s top strategic priorities, operating in a true zero-to-one space to define a new, interactive shopping experience for customers globally. As Live scales, we are building a dynamic, engaging, and differentiated marketplace that brings buyers and sellers together in entirely new ways.

Within this space, the Recommendations team plays a critical role in powering discovery and personalization across the Live ecosystem. We are seeking a Sr. Product Manager to lead Live Personalization, owning the strategy and execution of how Live content is surfaced and tailored across key experiences including the Homepage, Live Hub, Search, and beyond.

This role operates at the intersection of AI/ML innovation and customer experience, offers the opportunity to shape a high-impact product area at scale, influencing how millions of users discover and engage with Live content. You will define bold product vision, drive end-to-end execution, and partner closely with Applied Research, Engineering, Analytics, and Global Markets.

What you will accomplish:

  • Define and drive the product vision and strategy for Live Personalization, aligning with e Bay Live and broader marketplace goals to unlock significant customer and business impact

  • Own end-to-end personalization journeys, using qualitative insights and large-scale data to inform product direction and investment decisions

  • Develop and implement AI/ML-driven personalization strategies that improve discovery, engagement, and conversion across Live surfaces

  • Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives across research, engineering, design, and business teams, establishing clear priorities and operating rhythms to deliver at scale

  • Communicate strategy, progress, trade-offs, and risks effectively to senior leadership and partner teams, influencing decisions and alignment

  • Define and track success metrics across model performance, customer experience, and operational outcomes, continuously experiment to improve results

What you will bring:

  • 5+ years of product management or related industry experience

  • Proven record of successfully launching products using machine learning solutions that impacts consumer experiences on large-scale ecommerce, social media, or other marketplace platforms

  • Solid understanding of AI/ML product concepts such as ranking and retrieval systems, embeddings, classifiers, and evaluation performance trade-offs

  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences, adapting messaging to different partners

  • Strong analytical skills with experience defining metrics for your product areas, running A/B tests at scale and dissecting test performance to advise product decisions and roadmap

  • A proactive and creative approach to problem-solving, with the ability to drive execution in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
