e Bay’s Infrastructure Engineering organization is expanding to Bangalore, and we’re looking for a Software Development Manager to build and lead a new Platform Engineering team. This team will design and deliver modern, cloud-native developer platforms that empower thousands of engineers to build and scale e Bay’s global ecosystem.

As the founding manager, you’ll define the Bangalore team’s technical direction, hire and mentor engineers, and deliver scalable systems that improve how thousands of developers build and ship software at e Bay. You’ll work with Kubernetes, Tekton, and leading open-source frameworks, collaborating closely with our core team in the US and in Shanghai to deliver secure, high-performance, and automated platform solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Build and lead a new Platform Engineering team in Bangalore.

• Define and execute the roadmap for developer platforms and CI/CD systems.

• Guide architecture and design for scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure.

• Drive innovation using Kubernetes, Tekton, and cloud-native automation tools.

• Partner with teams in the US and Shanghai to align strategy and execution.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Tekton, Spring Boot, Node.js and distributed event streaming platforms like Kafka.

• Proven track record building and operating developer platforms or CI/CD platforms at scale.

• Expertise in cloud-native architectures, automation, and observability.

• Experience improving developer productivity and software delivery efficiency.

• Excellent leadership, collaboration and communication skills, with experience managing distributed teams.
