In e Bay Seller Experience team (Shipping), you will be an integral member of a growing organization that encourages passion, courage, and inventiveness - crafting the future of global commerce and making an important, positive impact on millions of e Bay sellers and shoppers around the world.

We are seeking an engineer to work in the product development team, responsible for design and drive development of Shipping Platform in e Bay marketplace!

What you will accomplish:

• Design and develop highly scalable, resilient, and highly available distributed software applications, tools, extensible APIs, frameworks, highly maintainable services and machine learning models on constantly evolving business requirements.

• Optimize and enhance high availability, low latency data platform

• Develop automated tests for to perform unit, integration & End to End testing.

• Conceptualize, brainstorm, code, and continuously integrate and deliver innovative prototypes.

• Analyze project requirements, create clear documentation, and connect with teams to reach efficient solutions.

• Collaborate closely with peers, Architects, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Operations teams to develop innovative solutions that meet functional and non-functional standards and expectations.

What you will bring:

• BS EE or CS degree;  8 years related experience (or Masters and 6 years related experience or PhD and 4 years experience)

• Experience with: Data structures & Algorithms, Design Patterns, Object Oriented Programming, Distributed Systems

• Java 8, Spring Framework 5, Spring Boot 2

• Working knowledge of GraphQL, REST APIs using Jersey or any other frameworks.

• Event Processing using JMS or MQ or Kafka

• Relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL

• Cloud related knowledge

• Experience with agile development methodologies, Test Driven Development (TDD) and CI/CD

• Ability to think innovative and contribute to the success of the products, processes and customer experience

• Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and to thrive under pressure

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

C**$142,400** - C**$190,100**

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including RRSP eligibility, various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
