Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing senior‑level business analysis support for Residential Solutions Home Protection Plans. The role partners with Products & Services, Marketing, Operations, IT, Finance, and external vendors to analyze, document, and implement business processes, system enhancements, and reporting capabilities that support product performance, customer experience, regulatory alignment, and revenue growth. This role represents Residential Solutions regarding requirements management, system and process design, data insights, and change execution for Home Protection Plans across Duke Energy jurisdictions.

Responsibilities Projects / Analysis

  • Support Home Protection Plan initiatives from ideation through implementation, including requirements documentation, testing, and deployment.

  • Develop detailed business requirements, as‑is/to‑be process flows, gap analysis, and supporting documentation.

  • Translate product and operational needs into functional and technical requirements for billing, customer, fulfillment, and reporting systems.

  • Partner with IT and data teams to review solution designs and validate alignment with approved requirements.

  • Design and support reporting and analytics to evaluate program performance, financial outcomes, and customer experience.

Operations / Change Management

  • Support testing, training, and change management activities associated with Home Protection Plan enhancements.

  • Coordinate issue tracking, system defect resolution, and post‑implementation validation.

  • Assist with development and maintenance of program documentation, workflows, and controls.

  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure operational readiness and adoption of new processes and systems.

Administration / Stakeholder Support

  • Support audit, compliance, and regulatory documentation as needed for Home Protection Plans.

  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders supporting Residential Solutions products and services.

Required / Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline.

  • Five (5) or more years of experience as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, or related role.

  • In lieu of degree, High School/GED with 5+ years of related business analysis or project experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Residential Solutions, consumer products, or service‑based offerings.

  • Experience working in regulated utility environments.

  • Strong analytical, financial, and business acumen.

  • Advanced requirements management, process modeling, and documentation skills.

  • Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Share Point).

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid Mobility Classification – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable daily commute to a Duke Energy facility.
