About the Team/Role
OPIS, a Dow Jones company, provides price transparency across the global fuel supply chain, including the Spot, Wholesale Rack and Retail markets. OPIS enables customers to buy and sell energy commodities with confidence with multi-platform access to accurate data, real-time news, powerful software and educational events. Our commitment to reliability is reinforced by personalized customer service and constant innovation. OPIS listens to what the energy community needs and responds with flexible and easy-to-use products. Navigating world fuel markets is complex – OPIS makes it simpler.
For over nearly two decades, OPIS has been a leader in providing real-time news, policy insights, price benchmarks and deep expertise in the biofuels sector, carbon markets, low-carbon fuel crediting programs and renewable energy markets, proudly earning the trust of international companies, governments and market stakeholders.
Regulations for carbon are ever-evolving and global energy demand is shifting from fossil fuels to low-carbon and renewable sources. As businesses must navigate the market complexities of today while preparing for future compliance carbon costs, OPIS has expanded its Carbon Suite with the introduction of CAMIRO – an essential global resource of news and deep-dive insights on policy, rulemakings and legislations paired with sophisticated price forecasts.

Primary responsibilities include:
Policy & Regulatory Tracking & Analysis:
Monitor, research, and synthesize regulatory developments from key global carbon markets and clean fuels programs, including U.S., Canada, EU and UK.
Analyze policy documents, agency rulings and legislative text and assess potential market impacts.
Prepare research notes to inform customer briefs and outlooks.
Quantitative & Market Analysis:
Collect, manage, and analyze proprietary and public datasets related to greenhouse gas emissions, allowance auctions, clean fuel credit generation, trading volumes, and fuel pathways.
Support the regular updating of existing price forecasting models, supply/demand outlooks datasets, and analytics.
Support the development of new price forecasting models, supply/demand outlooks datasets, and analytics.
