Reporter, Dow Jones Newswires (Middle East)
Overview Dow Jones Newswires is seeking two reporters to cover business, finance, economics, and markets across the Middle East. Based in Doha, you will be part of a region-wide team supporting wider EMEA news operations. You will be expected to break news on capital flows and PE executive moves, conduct exclusive interviews, and deliver scoops on private markets and energy.
The Role

Breaking News: Deliver scoops that drive professional readership and tap into existing or new sourcing to stay ahead of the market.

Market Analysis: Quickly analyze news signals for investors, ranging from quick-fire headlines to thematic long-form articles.

Global Contribution: Identify forward-looking details from regional streams to produce informative, punchy English-language content for our daily global report.

Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across Newswires and The Wall Street Journal to uphold Dow Jones standards and ethics.
You Will:

Break news and prioritize disclosed information of importance to financial professionals.

Summarize complex content into smart briefs and subsequent analysis of what news means for investors.

Recognize and respond to the specific needs of core Newswires audiences.

Communicate precisely and respectfully within a high-volume, fast-paced team environment.
You Have:

A minimum of two-three years of relevant experience.
-
A well-honed sense of urgency and the capacity to remain calm under pressure.

Intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn about Middle Eastern markets.

The ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining a solid sense of teamwork.

Excellent written English (essential); proficient Arabic is preferred but not required.
