About Your Role:
As a Bank Lead Associate at Family Dollar corporate office, you’ll perform depository verification, monitor daily banking operations and monthly reconciliation. You will assist the Treasury Operations Supervisor and lead a team of banking professionals to achieve operational and performance reports for management. The position requires phone contact with field management and banking representatives. You would also be involved in other projects as required. Your day-to-day job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Daily matching of bank deposits to store’s POS file using a reconciliation system
- Research and analyze deposit discrepancies
- Responsible for loading Bank files into system and troubleshooting any errors
- Develop/review trend reporting to identify possible fraud or operational issues
- Interact with Accounting personnel and bank representatives as needed to research and resolve exception items
- Contact stores to obtain documentation in researching missing or discrepant deposits
- Notify Asset Protection on missing or late deposits and working with them to resolve issues
- Preparation of monthly journal entries
- Coach, train, and mentor team members.
- Will Serve as primary point of contact for banking associate questions and assistance
- Identify opportunities to enhance Team performance
- Reconcilement of month-end bank statements for store depository accounts
- Preparation of bank signature cards and other account documentation
- Assist with bank changes and facilitate consolidation of bank accounts
- Perform miscellaneous duties and special assignments as needed
Your Required Skills and Experience:
- Associate degree or equivalent relevant banking / treasury experience
- 1-3 years financial experience or coursework in school
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Good planning and organization skills
- Good analytical skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience
Preferred Requirements:
- College degree
- 1-3 years’ Accounting or Reconciliation experience
