What you'll do In this role, you would be part of the Product-Led Growth (PLG) UX Design Team. We are responsible for the end-to-end self-service journey, focusing on critical stages like onboarding, the trial experience, and long-term retention. As a UX Researcher, you will be a key driver of research impact within the PLG space. You will specifically own and drive our evaluative research engine, establishing a consistent cadence of testing to provide the strategic insights needed to optimize the growth funnel. You will partner closely with designers and product managers to build and implement a seamless, repeatable process for integrating user feedback into our rapid design cycles. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr Director of PLG UX. Responsibility Lead the end-to-end execution of research studies including customer interviews, surveys, and moderated or unmoderated usability testing Drive insights to ensure core PLG journeys, from onboarding and trial through to purchase and retention, are high-performing Partner with the design and product management team to develop and scale a repeatable process for regular evaluative testing Ensure that concept and usability feedback is a standard and integrated part of the design workflow Collaborate with product managers, designers, and researchers to identify research needs and translate feedback into design iterations Synthesize findings into cohesive narratives and translate research into clear, concise recommendations and user stories Identify and leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate research cycles and improve the overall velocity and efficiency of team workflows Triangulate data from sources like product analytics and previous research to add depth and quantitative context to findings Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic 2+ years of experience in product research with a track record of conducting research for shipped products or features Bachelor’s degree in a research-related field or equivalent professional experience Building proficiency across generative and evaluative research pillars Understanding of HCI principles, research sampling, and maintaining rigor under fast-paced constraints Experience using or implementing AI tools to improve research efficiency and team output A portfolio of ux research work Preferred Experience working in a Product-Led Growth (PLG) or rapid-iteration SaaS environment Ability to independently lead unmoderated research studies Communication, storytelling, and active listening techniques Background in research operations or building research processes for design teams Familiarity with web and mobile design patterns and usability heuristics Learning mindset with a proactive approach to growth and comfort seeking feedback to refine skills in a fast-paced environment Life at Docusign Working here Docusign is committed to building trust and making the world more agreeable for our employees, customers and the communities in which we live and work.
