Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily application health checks, monitor pods, and handle alerts to ensure high application availability.
  • Involve in checking the mediation workflows, CDR reprocessing, monitoring the CDR backlogs, send health status of prod environments to the management
  • Assist in investigating production issues, identifying corrective actions, and resolving incidents to ensure platform stability.
  • Execute routine maintenance tasks such as application bounces, disk cleanups, DB activity and CDR reprocessing.
  • Support the deployment and application patches in both TEST and PROD environments.
  • Assist in developing automation scripts for manual activities and follow Manual Operations Procedures (MOP) for execution and validation.
  • Environment maintenance activities and support the required teams for any upgrade activities like EKS cluster upgrade, application upgrade etc.
  • Create a problem ticket/ jira defect to the Development team for code/configuration fixes and closely work with the Development team to get the problem tickets handled and deployed in Prod.
  • Work closely with the Senior Engineer and Operations Manager to report health status and escalate code or configuration bugs to the development team.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

  • Engineering degree with 4 to 7 years of experience in application maintenance and production support in Telecom Domain.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience in Telecom Mediation and online charging systems.
  • Preferred Systems: Knowledge of Digital Route Mediation and Matrixx.
  • Operational proficiency in Shell scripting and SQL.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana, Kibana, Sumo Logic and Dynatrace.
  • Exposure to AWS and Kubernetes (EKS).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate technical issues clearly.
  • Ready Willingness to work in shifts and weekends.
