Department Summary

Our DISH Media Ad Sales team, headquartered in New York City with additional offices in Chicago, Denver, and Los Angeles, empowers brands to reach their target audiences seamlessly across the DISH and Sling platforms. Specializing in data-driven addressable and programmatic advertising solutions, this innovative and passionate team excels in navigating the dynamic TV advertising landscape.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview.Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical contact for SSP and DSP partners, managing integrations, configurations, testing, and troubleshooting for programmatic platforms
  • Act as the go-to technical expert for programmatic advertising, providing in-depth guidance on ad tech functionalities, deal execution, and optimization strategies to various internal teams and external clients
  • Conduct thorough analysis of programmatic tech and deal performance, identify anomalies, and provide detailed technical recommendations and actionable solutions for issues across our Digital footprint
  • Provide support on technical evaluations of new ad tech products, features, and vendors, assessing their compatibility with existing systems and potential impact on DISH Media’s programmatic infrastructure
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operational workflows and instill best practices related to ad tech and troubleshooting
  • Continuously monitor programmatic industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, identifying technical opportunities to enhance DISH Media’s programmatic infrastructure

Skills, Experience and Requirements Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in a related field in programmatic, ad ops (advertising operations), tech ops, publisher campaign management, TV company ad sales, agency or ad tech company
  • Ad Tech Expertise: programmatic role with deep knowledge of the programmatic ecosystem, including SSPs (e.g., Magnite), DSPs (e.g., The Trade Desk), ad servers (e.g., Free Wheel, Google Ad Manager, Spring Serve), and unified ad decisioning technologies
  • Proven experience with programmatic platforms, including DAI (Dynamic Ad Insertion) enablement, integration design, and end-to-end testing

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Advanced ability to build complex technical reports, analyze raw data, and translate technical findings into actionable insights, coupled with expertise in debugging tools (e.g., Fiddler, Charles, Wireshark). SQL, Excel, BI tools, Basic Python or R, Statistics fundamentals to present actionable business insights and visualizations
  • Knowledge of digital ad tech communication protocols such as OpenRTB (oRTB), VAST, VPAID, MRAID, and a detailed understanding of various creative formats and their technical specifications
  • Exceptional written and verbal technical communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences; proven ability to drive technical initiatives and manage cross-functional projects from conception to completion

This position is open to either NYC or CO

The comp range for NY is $72,625 to $103,500

For Colorado candidates, the range is $63,150 to $90,000

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
