Job Duties and Responsibilities
As the HR Finance Manager, you will serve as the central coordinator and strategic lead for the Human Resources budget and contract lifecycle. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial process from business case through to formal contracts and budget tracking, ensuring financial accuracy with invoices and PO management, and providing high-level analysis to HR leadership regarding spend and ROI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Case Leadership:
Guide HR Managers through the business case lifecycle, helping to identify business problems, determine solutions, and prepare narrative "stories" for presentation to HR Leaders
- Budget & Governance Oversight:
Review all proposed spend against the established budget alongside COEs and Uplines, ensuring every initiative is tracked via governance dashboards and Smartsheet tools
- Contract & Vendor Management:
Partner with Supply Chain and Legal to navigate the RFP process, pre-negotiate vendor terms, and finalize contract language
- Purchase Order (PO) Management:
Manage the submission and accuracy of PO forms, while auditing daily approvals to ensure seamless vendor engagement
- Financial Processing & Reporting:
Facilitate the end-to-end invoice batching process between HR Ops, AP, and Finance, providing detailed reports on GL allocations and month-over-month budget vs. spend analysis
- Performance & ROI Tracking:
Conduct quarterly reviews to evaluate if HR projects hit implementation deadlines and analyze all contracts to determine if the expected Return on Investment (ROI) has been achieved
Skills, Experience and Requirements Education and Experience:
- Undergraduate Degree:
Required in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Human Resources Management, or a related degree
- Professional Experience:
3-6 years of experience in financial analysis, HR operations, budget management, or a related field
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is essential; preferred experience with Google Suite (Sheets, Slides) and financial reporting systems (e.g., Oracle, One Stream, Hyperion, Smartsheets) is a plus
- Analytical Mindset:
A high level of intellectual curiosity with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to seek and collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and strike the right balance between detail orientation and the big picture
- Communication:
Well-developed oral and written presentation skills, with a proven ability to summarize complex ideas into understandable and easy-to-follow materials for leadership; this role will have high visibility up to C-Suite within the HR function
- Collaboration:
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to establish productive working relationships with business partners and personnel across the enterprise
- Work Ethic:
Results-driven and proactive, with the flexibility and sense of urgency to manage tight deadlines, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $83,950.00/Year - $119,900.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
