OVERVIEW:

Location: This individual will work out of our NYC office and operate off of a hybrid model.

The Director of Sales – Core Non‑Endemics will lead and grow DICK’S Sporting Goods core non‑endemic advertising business across the Retail Media Network. This role is responsible for setting strategy, driving revenue, building strong agency and brand relationships, and leading a high‑performing sales team.

This is a highly visible leadership role that blends strategic planning, executive‑level selling, and team development. You’ll partner closely with internal stakeholders across merchandising, marketing, product, and analytics while helping advertisers unlock value through integrated, data‑driven media solutions.

What You’ll Do:

Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Define and execute the long‑term sales strategy for the Core Non‑Endemic business.
  • Drive revenue across key advertising solutions including in‑store, digital, e Commerce, CTV, experiential, and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop innovative go‑to‑market strategies.

Client & Agency Leadership

  • Cultivate and expand executive‑level relationships with major agencies and core non‑endemic brand partners.
  • Lead high‑stakes negotiations and close complex, multi‑channel deals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by delivering insight‑driven, results‑oriented solutions.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead a best‑in‑class sales team focused on performance, collaboration, and growth.
  • Establish clear goals, accountability, and development plans to elevate team capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with internal teams to align sales strategy with product, measurement, and marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate on monetization strategies, pricing, and packaging of new offerings.
  • Identify process improvements that increase efficiency and scalability across the sales organization.

What We’re Looking For:

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading sales teams in media, advertising, retail media, or digital marketing environments.
  • Strong background working with agencies and core non‑endemic brands.
  • Demonstrated success driving revenue growth and managing complex client relationships.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into execution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in retail media networks, omnichannel advertising, or commerce media.
  • Deep understanding of digital media ecosystems, measurement, and performance marketing.
  • Comfort operating in a fast‑paced, evolving environment with high visibility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 10-15 years experience

  • Knowledgeable about Ad Tech, Mar Tech, Programmatic media, digital and omni-channel marketing

  • Expertise in managing and motivating sales teams, and managing sales pipeline/forecasts

  • Strong networking skills and ability to establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers to grow client base and increase partnership investment

Targeted Pay Range: $127,000.00 - $237,800.00. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
